Using Formative for Standardized Test Practice

It’s that time of year…yes, state testing is upon us. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for infusing standardized testing questions straight into a Formative? In TN, we use TN Ready for ELA. The question types mirror that of the PARCC Assessment.

Hey Jessica, this is a great question! I know that some of our question types are quite similar to what you might see on the PARCC assessment. For example, the Multiple Selection question type might be used to have students specify the characteristics of a character from a text. And the Short Answer question type might be used to have students specify evidence from a text. Here are a couple formatives I found in our new library that are associated with the PARCC:
